Only in a dream, true, and I do not doubt that what I saw was only a facet of its true form, marred by my own prejudices, human as I am. Oh, I have been alive for infinite years, thanks to It, but that simple fact of Its existence in some unreachable location reminds me of my own mortality. I am humbled by the power it has over me, that it can break my mind on a whim, reduce me to infantile screaming in the night with a promise, a destination always out of reach. Everything was finished. Complete. The credits were rolling in white across the night sky, the veil of reality now shattered so that the stars did not pretend to be a distance away, but were all a thought away, their minds united in acknowledgement of It being Over. People filled the streets, leaving their posts, abandoning everything they had been wasting their lives with to celebrate its glory. There were fireworks, balloons, fireworks that turned into balloons (it was a dream, okay?). I watched from the rooftop.// Everything was finished. Complete.
